The presidential investiture is a ceremony in which the new leader is vested with the authority of the office. Held during the president’s first year in office, the investiture is an academic tradition giving the university an opportunity to begin a new chapter in its history and celebrate as a community. The investiture of the new president is a formal ceremony with foundations in many academic traditions and protocols.
Meet Samuel S. Olens
Samuel S. Olens became the fourth president of Kennesaw State University on November 1, 2016. Previously, he served as the attorney general of Georgia from 2010 through 2016, and as the chairman of the Cobb County Board of Commissioners from 2002 through 2010.
